Conduct independent macroeconomic research for publication in leading economics and finance journals, provide in-depth analysis for Federal Reserve policy briefings, and contribute to the Chicago Fed’s research mission. The role requires strong communication skills, substantial academic or comparable research experience, and a strong publication record. Responsibilities focus on macroeconomic modeling, monetary policy, central banking, labor markets, business cycles, and broader macroeconomic policy.

Conduct independent research in financial economics, publish in leading academic journals, provide in-depth analysis for Federal Reserve policy briefings, and contribute to the Bank’s research mission. Candidates should have a strong publication record, at least five years of academic or comparable research experience, and excellent communication skills.

Administer and maintain enterprise file transfer platforms (IBM Sterling, Axway), ensure secure, reliable transfers, troubleshoot failures, perform upgrades/patches, automate workflows with scripts and Ansible, provide on-call production support, manage security controls and compliance, and create technical documentation and runbooks.
