The Senior Claims Counsel manages title insurance claims, conducts investigations, negotiates resolutions, and oversees litigation, focusing on legal analysis and strategic decisions in a collaborative environment.

Manage and complete simple and complex commercial escrow transactions, establish and monitor escrow accounts, prepare and file closing and legal documents, ensure accurate accounting and disbursement of funds, produce status and closing reports, work cross-functionally to mitigate risk, and provide outstanding customer service while training or leading escrow staff.

Provide administrative and clerical support to Claims Counsel/Analysts: assist in investigating claims, obtain documentation, compile closing files and title research, maintain schedules/calendars and expense reports, handle invoices and billing with accounting, support major claims, and provide paralegal assistance as needed.

Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for commercial real estate title insurance commitments and policies. Apply underwriting standards within delegated authority, guide settlement services, issue standards and guidelines, and collaborate with personnel and customers to resolve title and risk issues.

Lead a small performance marketing team to connect paid-media activity to leads, orders and revenue. Build attribution, forecasting and cohort reporting, optimize paid search and performance channels, implement AI/automation, improve data infrastructure and dashboards, and influence cross-functional growth strategy to drive measurable marketing ROI.

Lead day-to-day title production operations for onshore and offshore teams, managing up to 30 employees. Drive staffing, performance management, customer relationships, process improvements, and unit cost/P&L analysis to meet quality, cost, and cycle-time goals. Coach and develop staff, collaborate with stakeholders, and implement cross-training and outsourcing strategies.

Manage day-to-day activities of Underwriters, oversee title insurance issuance, supervise staff, and contribute to project planning and performance evaluations.

Manage commercial escrow accounts and closings, acting as neutral liaison between buyer, seller, and lender. Process and review escrow documents, ensure proper accounting and disbursement of funds, prepare closing and legal documents, report account status, and work with Underwriting to monitor and mitigate risk while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role involves conducting title research, compiling search packages, and interpreting tax records. It requires independent judgment and problem-solving skills and may involve teaching less experienced team members.
