Leads medium-complexity manufacturing engineering projects, including equipment design, process improvements, automation, machine rebuilds, and manufacturing line installations. Develops technical requirements, budgets, schedules, layouts, documentation, and handover packages. Provides hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Collaborates with plants, maintenance teams, vendors, and EH&S to improve safety, reliability, productivity, and profitability. Extensive travel is required.

Develop and maintain production schedules while balancing customer demand, labor, equipment capacity, materials, and inventory. Monitor capacity, bottlenecks, inventory levels, and schedule performance; coordinate purchasing and suppliers to resolve shortages and delivery issues. Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, Inventory Control, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support on-time delivery and improve planning processes.

The Project Engineer will manage electrical engineering projects, develop solutions to production issues, and support equipment safety upgrades while ensuring adherence to project specifications and compliance with regulations.

Optimize manufacturing processes for Greif's steel drum plants through trials, root-cause analysis, instrumentation calibration, process validation, and continuous improvement. Support productivity, quality, safety, cost reduction, and lead small projects while training and partnering with cross-functional plant teams.

Lead development and execution of reliability and asset management strategies to maximize equipment uptime, safety, and quality. Implement RCM/PM/PdM programs, condition monitoring, RCFA, KPI tracking (OEE, MTBF, MTTR), and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain, support capital projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor reliability staff.

Support manufacturing engineering by maintaining BOMs and product records, coordinating engineering changes (ECO/ECN/MOC), verifying product/process data, tracking project deliverables, producing reports, and collaborating with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement.
