Teams at HED (hed.co)

Develops mechanical design documentation, Revit models, calculations, specifications, and BIM project setup for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Coordinates with engineers and other disciplines, reviews submittals, responds to RFIs, supports QA/QC and construction administration, delegates drafting work, and participates in client and coordination meetings. The role also manages assigned project hours and develops expertise in building systems and mechanical engineering practices.

Performs independent mechanical engineering design, calculations, equipment sizing, controls documentation, code compliance, and Revit modeling across project phases. Coordinates with internal disciplines, consultants, and clients; responds to RFIs and submittals; conducts field verification and construction observations; supports QAQC, peer reviews, project planning, and mentoring of junior staff.

Lead and grow the ICT discipline across sectors: recruit and staff teams, set ICT standards and QA/QC/BIM practices, mentor staff, oversee project technical quality (serve as DPOR when appropriate), manage administration (timesheets, licensure, budgets), and represent HED externally to advance discipline excellence and firmwide consistency.
