Seeking a senior software engineer to design and build Java/JEE enterprise applications using Spring, persistence frameworks (EJB/JPA/Hibernate), SOAP/REST web services, messaging (JMS), NoSQL databases, and cloud/distributed processing technologies. Contract position in Chicago requiring strong distributed architecture experience; Hadoop/Spark experience preferred.

Tune and optimize Adobe ES4 on WebSphere, integrate J2EE applications with Adobe ES4, improve software performance, participate in design/coding/testing, document best practices, and collaborate with product and engineering teams. Uses Linux, Git, and MySQL.

Lead a QA team to plan, design, and execute automated and manual tests across multiple insurance software programs. Create QA plans, manage test strategies, oversee defect management, coordinate UAT with business and vendors, report metrics, and mitigate testing risks while ensuring requirements coverage and vendor deliverable validation.
