Supports the Highways department under a Project Engineer or Project Manager with roadway design, technical duties, documentation, and daily project activities. The intern contributes to highway planning, design, and construction-related work while developing practical civil and transportation engineering experience in the Chicago office during Summer 2027.

Leads traffic engineering and transportation projects, overseeing signal designs, signing and pavement marking, maintenance of traffic plans, traffic studies, safety evaluations, and transportation analyses. Provides technical quality assurance, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, mentors staff, supports resource planning, and develops client relationships and business opportunities. Ensures compliance with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, MUTCD, and local agency standards.

Lead the Chicago operation and manage a team of over 80 professionals, focusing on business growth, client management, and operational excellence.
