Supports attorneys throughout litigation by preparing and filing pleadings, motions, discovery, affidavits, and appellate documents. Conducts legal research and factual investigations, communicates with clients and legal parties, coordinates depositions, manages calendars and case files, organizes exhibits and trial materials, prepares witnesses, maintains discovery indexes, and assists with settlements. The role requires litigation experience, strong organization and communication skills, knowledge of court procedures, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Supports attorneys with legal and administrative work, including scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files and evidence, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, drafting and proofreading documents, researching laws and regulations, managing client billing, and coordinating with clients and witnesses. The role is fully onsite and requires strong organization, communication, litigation-documentation knowledge, computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Handle a high-volume workers’ compensation caseload, including hearings, pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, mediations, and court appearances. Guide clients throughout their cases, collaborate with expert witnesses, and prepare expert reports and affidavits. The attorney will help build a statewide workers’ compensation practice in Jersey City while delivering strong written advocacy, oral advocacy, and client service.
