Teams at Muon Space

Designs and implements spacecraft attitude determination and control, guidance, navigation, and control architectures in embedded C++. Performs mission-specific analysis, simulation, requirements definition, sensor-calibration and geolocation pipeline development, anomaly resolution, and software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing. The role supports on-orbit systems and collaborates across spacecraft engineering disciplines. Remote work is available from approved states, with export-control eligibility requirements.

Supports Muon’s Legal and Contracts team across commercial space law, regulatory compliance, government contracts, corporate matters, and export compliance. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance matrices, researching legal and regulatory topics, drafting written summaries, assisting with agreements and filings, and documenting export records. The role is a full-time remote summer internship offering mentorship and exposure to satellite, aerospace, national security, and government contracting matters.

Own and advance cybersecurity for satellites, flight software, ground systems, mission networks, communication links, and AWS infrastructure. Responsibilities include security architecture, threat modeling, vulnerability management, incident response, IAM, SIEM detection engineering, network defense, cloud security, DLP, security assessments, awareness training, and compliance with CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, and ITAR/EAR requirements. The role collaborates with aerospace, software, systems, and compliance teams and requires expertise in mission-system security.
