Educates physicians and healthcare staff on coding, documentation, billing compliance, and payer requirements. Reviews medical records, assigns ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, audits documentation, identifies compliance risks and reimbursement opportunities, resolves coding disputes, researches coding questions, develops educational tools, and conducts provider training. The role also analyzes coding trends, supports workflow improvements and special reimbursement projects, and maintains professional coding credentials through continuing education.

Provides specialized glaucoma care in a high-volume ophthalmology practice, including diagnostic evaluation, laser procedures, MIGS, and incisional glaucoma surgery. The role includes building a glaucoma-focused practice across Skokie, Gurnee, and Glenbrook Hospital, collaborating with ophthalmologists and optometrists, using advanced clinical and surgical technology, and participating in teaching through the University of Chicago academic affiliation.

Supports system-wide physician and advanced practice provider engagement, professional development, recognition, leadership, and wellbeing initiatives. Coordinates workshops, assessments, listening sessions, mentorship, and milestone programs; analyzes engagement data using analytics and AI-assisted tools; develops reports, dashboards, recommendations, educational materials, and toolkits; and provides training and consultation. Partners with physician leaders, HR, Education, Marketing, and other organizational teams to improve provider experience, reduce burnout, and strengthen professional growth and workforce sustainability.
