The Senior Accountant supports period-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, financial reporting, SEC filing support, and audit activities. The role analyzes large data sets across multiple systems, validates financial information, ensures US GAAP compliance, supports system integrations, and implements process improvements. This hybrid position requires two to three days per week in the downtown Chicago office.

Leads catastrophe risk analytics for alternative risk transfer programs, managing modeling teams, RMS/AIR workflows, portfolio rollups, pricing, event response, vendor strategy, and data automation. Translates catastrophe model outputs into underwriting and reinsurance decisions while overseeing ETL pipelines, exposure data quality, advanced analytics, reporting, and cloud modernization using Azure Databricks and related technologies.

Manages insurance policy binding operations, including evaluating new business, renewals, endorsements, applications, inspections, cancellations, and renewals. Ensures accuracy, regulatory compliance, documentation quality, and timely policy issuance. Communicates with clients, supports underwriting workflows, mentors team members, identifies efficiency improvements, and collaborates with underwriting, support, and product teams. Requires substantial insurance or binding underwriting experience, with preferred Excess & Surplus lines and ConceptOne experience.
