Actuarial Interns support insurance pricing and product development through risk modeling, research, technical analysis, and ad hoc projects. The role includes collaborating with underwriting, marketing, operations, and software teams; presenting findings; recommending solutions; participating in a rotational program; and completing a capstone project. Candidates should be pursuing Actuarial Science or a STEM degree, graduating in 2028, and authorized to work in the United States.

Supports business and technical requirements gathering, documentation, validation, process analysis, QA coordination, stakeholder workshops, implementation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement for commercial insurance products, processes, and systems. Partners with Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams across distributed locations to translate business needs into actionable requirements and support strategic initiatives.

Investigate and respond to consumer complaints submitted through Departments of Insurance, Better Business Bureaus, and other channels. Manage complaint mailboxes, logs, and documentation; coordinate with internal teams, carriers, and producers; identify regulatory compliance vulnerabilities; track remediation; and support underwriting, product, and compliance audits. The role requires timely, professional written responses, strong analytical judgment, prioritization, and composure in a high-pressure environment.

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications, APIs, services, and platform capabilities. Lead technical architecture and implementation, improve system performance and reliability, support automated delivery and testing, and establish engineering standards. Partner with cross-functional teams, communicate technical decisions, mentor engineers, and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development tools. The role is fully remote with occasional travel of up to 15%.

Lead product strategy and delivery for Commercial operations by analyzing performance, defining technical requirements, partnering with engineering and data teams, managing vendors, and driving process and technology improvements to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer outcomes.
