Job Summary:
PetPlace is seeking an Account Executive, responsible for driving growth of our Shelter Management Software suite. The desired candidate will take on the role of Internal Advocate for clients and customers with regards to products and services offerings. This is a quota carrying role and seeking a candidate with a hunter mentality to expand our market share with an exciting new software launch.
Job Location: Remote - Illinois
This position is remote, and you will work from a home office. Occasionally, travel to the nearest office may be required for in-person activities such as team meetings, industry conferences, training, and culture-building events.
Main Responsibilities:
Proactively pursues sales leads of shelter and rescue organizations in the US and Canada.
Responsible for development of new accounts through cold calls, targeted emails, social selling and follow up from inbound leads.
Responsible for keeping up to date on industry trends and competitive offerings and communicating this information to the business.
Builds and executes sales strategies, identifies new opportunities/leads, and generates sales reports.
Tailors’ sales presentation to individual businesses using strong presentation delivery skills.
Negotiates rates, based on department procedures/processes.
Attends trade shows, exhibitions, and company meetings as required.
Optimizes and harnesses a sales system to drive sales and maintains detailed records at an account level.
Manages a budget from a travel and expense perspective for maximum return.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
4 years in B2B sales, and/or relevant experience
Up to 20% travel required
Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residency
Demonstrated Sales experience
Business acumen is developed, and minimal oversight is required to make appropriate impactful business decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling Animal Health software highly preferred
Demonstrated experience building sales pipelines
Education: bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
