The Account Manager manages MGU partner relationships, ensures self-sufficiency, oversees implementations, and standardizes processes for improved operational efficiency.
The summary above was generated by AI

Most of what makes American healthcare expensive isn’t medical care. It’s the machinery wrapped around it: middlemen taking a cut, fraud nobody stops, and billing systems designed to fight over payment instead of deliver care. The result is higher premiums, denied claims, surprise bills, and a system patients increasingly experience as adversarial.

Arlo is rebuilding health insurance for small businesses from first principles: making sure as much of every premium dollar as possible goes to care instead of getting absorbed by the system around it. We do that by identifying fraud earlier, steering members toward higher-quality and lower-cost care, automating operational overhead, and eliminating vendors whose business exists mostly to take a cut.

AI is the foundation that makes this work. We use it across underwriting, operations, clinical programs, and member experience to build an insurer that becomes more efficient as the technology improves.

We’re already operating at meaningful scale: profitable, hundreds of millions in premiums, tens of thousands of members covered, and growing quickly through brokers, employers, and partners. Backed by Upfront Ventures, 8VC, and General Catalyst, with a team from Palantir, YC companies, and longtime healthcare operators.

As an Account Manager – MGU Partnerships, you'll own the end-to-end relationship with our MGU partners’ functional teams — driving accountability, standardizing processes, and ensuring partners are equipped to operate with confidence and self-sufficiency. You'll be a strong, structured presence and opinionated guide to our partners, while also serving as a key contributor to how we improve our platform and internal workflows.

This role is a great fit for someone who is highly process-oriented, thrives on teaching and partner enablement, and isn't afraid to be direct.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Relationship Management

  • Own all partner communication end-to-end, serving as the primary point of contact for our partners.

  • Facilitate and lead recurring weekly partner meetings and biweekly webinars.

  • Drive partners toward self-sufficiency through structured training, onboarding, and ongoing enablement — always ready to onboard and teach new contacts as partner teams evolve.

Implementation Ownership

  • Own the full MGU group implementation process within a 90-day window, enforcing clear milestones and accountability checkpoints.

  • Conduct discovery with new partners to understand their current processes and actively consult on improvements.

Standardization & Enablement

  • Lead recurring webinars (every two weeks) covering quoting, implementation, and platform updates — integrated into the onboarding experience for every new portal signup.

  • Push partners into standardized processes and workflows; this role sets the standard, not the other way around.

  • Develop and roll out process changes across the partner base in a consistent, scalable way.

Platform & Product

  • Build and maintain partner plan suites and documentation within internal tools.

  • Surface partner feedback and operational insights to improve the product and internal tooling.

  • Collaborate with internal teammates to tag-team complex partner issues and flex into other areas (e.g., General Administrator relationships and other ops needs) as the business requires.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in health insurance, employee benefits, or a related industry in a customer-facing role.

  • Strong understanding of health plan structures, terminology, and processes.

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills — you thrive in structured environments and bring that structure to others.

  • Confident, direct communicator who can simplify complexity and hold partners accountable without being a people-pleaser.

  • Comfortable with CRMs, ticketing systems, and modern workplace tools; experience with HubSpot is a plus.

You're Best Suited for This Role If You:
  • Have a process-first mindset and take satisfaction in building and enforcing operational standards.

  • Are a natural teacher who enjoys enabling others and staying patient through constant onboarding cycles.

  • Lead with confidence — you're comfortable telling partners what to do and following through when they don't.

  • Can flex across responsibilities and stay calm in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
    Compensation: $70,000-$80,000

Why Join Arlo:
  • High ownership: You’ll get real responsibility from day one—our high-trust team empowers you to run with big problems and shape core parts of the company.

  • Join an important mission: Your work directly influences how people access care and improves lives at scale.

  • Growth & expansion: We’re moving fast, and as we grow, your scope will grow with us—new challenges, bigger opportunities, and rapid career velocity.

  • Apply AI to a problem that matters: Instead of optimizing ads or cutting labor costs, you’ll use AI to fundamentally reimagine how people get healthcare.

  • High pace, high collaboration: We operate with velocity, first-principles thinking, and a team that works closely, openly, and with ambition.

Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
