FFO (Flynn Family Office) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Account Manager to join our team and provide accounting, financial reporting, and analysis services for our clients. This individual will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements and reports, and supporting clients with their ongoing accounting and financial needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities:

The Account Manager will be responsible for performing accounting and financial analysis functions for assigned clients. This individual will prepare and analyze financial reports, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, process payroll and other accounting transactions, and assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities.

The role also provides opportunities to work directly with clients, vendors, auditors, and internal team members while supporting special accounting projects and ongoing financial reporting needs.

Some of the responsibilities of the individual in this role will include:

  • Performing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, time billing, payroll, general ledger activities, and tax payments
  • Processing payroll for client companies and ensuring payroll-related information is accurate and timely
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements and reports for clients
  • Preparing weekly financial forecasts and reports summarizing clients' current and projected financial positions
  • Supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation and review of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Recording and reconciling investment transactions and supporting the preparation of quarterly management reports
  • Maintaining accurate records of client assets, liabilities, transactions, and other financial activity
  • Assisting Managers with annual financial and payroll audits by serving as a liaison between clients and external auditors
  • Producing financial information and analysis for client management teams upon request
  • Communicating directly with clients' vendors regarding accounting, billing, payroll, and other financial matters
  • Assisting with special accounting projects, financial analysis, and other client-related initiatives as needed
  • Managing multiple client engagements, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and overall client service
  • Maintaining organized and complete financial documentation in accordance with established procedures
  • Collaborating with team members and Managers to ensure client needs are addressed accurately and efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a similar client-service environment
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, financial statements, and month-end close processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal team members
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, clients, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with Managers and team members
  • Strong consulting and client-service skills, including analysis, documentation, communication, and presentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience with accounting software and general ledger systems required; QuickBooks experience is a plus
  • Strong computer aptitude and ability to quickly learn new financial and accounting systems
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to follow established processes and instructions accurately while exercising sound judgment
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
  • Professionalism, dependability, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $80,000-$90,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
