Your role on the team: (job description)
- Serves as the customer service liaison between GEODIS and the customer.
- Processes all documents and information requests received from GEODIS.
- Enters notes, information requests and document requests in Cargowise system.
- Sends information/document requests to company’s employees, suppliers, service providers or overseas production offices as needed.
- Communicates with specified offices, departments, and teams on all issues affecting Air Export
- Files document requests, correspondence, and documents in a file folder identified by the applicable shipping number.
- Ensures operational procedures are in line with company needs.
- Ensures compliance with regard to TSA and/or government regulations.
What you need: (requirements)
- Minimum 2 years experience in exportation of goods, or an equivalent combination of both education and experience
- Experience in freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of TSA and Government Agency requirements
- Knowledge of the movement of freight via air and/or truck
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel
- Ability to successfully pass a TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) background screening.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
