Join Aprio's Technology Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) team and help our fast-growing technology and e-commerce clients Account for Anything. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm seeking a dynamic Manager to support complex advisory engagements, deliver strategic finance solutions, and help build scalable capabilities across the Technology CAAS practice.

This role is designed for a builder, problem solver, and strategic finance professional who thrives in a dynamic advisory environment. The Manager will work across a broad range of client engagements, including FP&A, financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, board reporting, accounting transformation, revenue recognition, transaction readiness, business process improvement, and other high-impact advisory initiatives. This individual will help clients solve complex financial and operational challenges while developing the tools, templates, frameworks, and delivery methodologies that enable the practice to scale.

In addition to supporting strategic finance and advisory work, the Manager will contribute to Aprio's evolving technology-enabled service model, including AI-native tools and scalable delivery models to support technology and startup clients.

Responsibilities:

    Strategic Finance & FP&A Advisory

  • Financial Modeling & FP&A: Builds budgets, forecasts, 13-week cash flow models, scenario analyses, and KPI dashboards that support strategic decision-making for growth-stage clients.
  • Board-Ready Reporting: Translates financial results into clear narratives - highlighting cash flow, runway, unit economics, and working capital - for founders, leadership teams, and boards.
  • CFO Advisory Support: Partners with US client leads on core and add-on advisory engagements (e.g., headcount planning, scenario modeling, SKU profitability), owning the analyst-level build and preparing client-facing outputs.
  • Complex Projects & Cross-Functional Support

  • Project Execution: Supports the Senior Manager, Technology CAAS on one-time and complex client projects - cash-to-accrual conversions, GAAP clean-up, M&A / QoE readiness, and process build-outs.
  • Quarterbacking: Coordinates across US client leads, offshore accounting teams, and external advisors (tax, legal, transaction) to keep deliverables on track and accountable.
  • Capacity as a Builder: Uses available capacity to create reusable templates, models, SOPs, and dashboards that the broader Technology CAAS group can leverage across clients.
  • Practice Building & Enablement

  • Reusable Asset Development: Creates and maintains financial models, cash flow tools, board reporting packages, dashboards, templates, SOPs, and client-facing deliverables that improve consistency and scalability across Technology CAAS engagements.
  • Process & Delivery Innovation: Develops and refines workflows, playbooks, and AI-enabled delivery methodologies that improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across recurring and project-based services.
  • Solution Development & Enablement: Partners with Technology CAAS leadership to identify opportunities for new advisory offerings, delivery enhancements, start-up focused solutions, and scalable service solutions that strengthen the practice and enhance client outcomes.
  •

Business Development & Market Presence (~15%)

  • While this role is primarily focused on delivery and advisory, we expect the Manager to gradually build a market presence and contribute to growth as the position matures - this is a developing, not quota-carrying, expectation.
  • Client Expansion: Identifies opportunities to deepen existing relationships - surfacing advisory add-ons and expansion work that arise naturally from delivery, and partnering with client leads to pursue them.
  • Networking & Visibility: Builds a professional network over time and represents Aprio thoughtfully in the market, participating in relevant industry or community events and contributing to the firm’s reputation in the technology and startup finance space.
  • Origination Support: Contributes to proposals, scoping, and pursuits by preparing models and materials, with a growing role in originating and expanding work as experience and relationships develop.

Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, CMA, CGMA, or MBA preferred.
    • Experience: 5 - 7+ years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience, ideally including FP&A, financial modeling, or CFO/finance advisory in a client-service, outsourced, or high-growth environment.
    • Industry Focus: Experience with technology, SaaS, e-commerce, or venture-backed startups strongly preferred; comfort supporting companies from $0–$100M in revenue.
    • Technical Knowledge: Strong FP&A and modeling skills (budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, scenario analysis); working knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition concepts.
    • Systems & AI Proficiency: Advanced Excel; experience with modern finance/accounting platforms (e.g., QBO, Xero, NetSuite, Rillet) and a genuine appetite for AI-native tools and automation.
    • Advisory Mindset: Business acumen and relationship skills to engage founders and leadership - proactive advisory over transactional compliance.
    • Communication: Clear, professional communicator able to partner with US client leads, offshore teams, and external advisors.

Success Metrics:

  • Timely, accurate delivery of pod financials with minimal client-lead review time.
  • Reusable templates, models, and SOPs adopted across the Technology CAAS group.
  • Successful support of complex projects and CFO advisory engagements, measured by client retention and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated adoption and advancement of AI-enabled workflows that improve efficiency and margin.
  • Growing market presence over time - expanded client relationships, add-on/advisory opportunities surfaced, and active networking.
  • Growth in team capability through coaching, enablement, and knowledge-sharing.

The application window is anticipated to close on November 17th and may be extended as needed.
