AI Automation Analyst

Remote-based position, ideally located in Portland, OR, Las Vegas, NV or Michigan

About Catalyst IQ

Catalyst IQ is a digital marketing intelligence company built on more than a decade of experience in the automotive dealer vertical. As a part of Advance Local, we operate at the intersection of dealer relationships, proprietary data, and AI-driven platform technology. Our core product — MarketAI — delivers real-time competitive recommendations, pricing signals, and inventory insights that tell dealers not just what’s happening in their market, but what to do next. We are prioritizing further growth and innovation in capital equipment.

We’re not so big that anyone is above the work — our teams build, execute, and iterate together, and this role sits right at that intersection of hands-on building and real impact for our equipment dealer clients.

About the Role

The AI Automation Analyst will join our Product team and focus primarily on the capital equipment side of the business. This role will help bring Catalyst IQ’s connected, data-driven approach into a growing vertical by identifying opportunities to automate manual work, improve service delivery, and support scalable growth.

In this role, you’ll work with guidance from the VP Product, to build and maintain AI-driven workflows and agents that streamline routine, repeatable tasks. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and equipment-side service execution teams to understand current workflows, evaluate where automation can responsibly improve efficiency, and help free senior team members to focus on higher-value client and strategic work.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and operate AI-driven workflows and agents that automate routine, repeatable service-delivery tasks.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and service execution teams to identify manual processes that are strong candidates for automation.
  • Prototype and iterate quickly — test automations against real workflows, measure impact, and refine based on what actually works.
  • Work hands-on with data: pulling, cleaning, and structuring the inputs automations depend on.
  • Document how each automation works so it can be maintained, extended, and handed off as the team grows.
  • Flag where automation can responsibly replace manual steps without compromising quality or client experience.
  • Grow into a broader automation/product role over time as scope and ownership expand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, business analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of one year experience working with structured and unstructured data to clean, organize, interpret, and prepare inputs that support automation, AI workflows, reporting, or operational decision-making
  • Hands-on experience building with AI models, agents, or automation tools – beyond using AI tools as an end user
  • Curious, self-directed and motivated to understand workflows deeply enough to improve or automate them
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage, evolving environment where you’ll help shape the workflows you’re automating
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts and automation decisions to non-technical teammates
  • Excited to grow with the team and take on broader automation or product responsibilities as the capital equipment vertical scales
