We are seeking an AI Solutions Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain secure AI-enabled automation solutions that integrate with enterprise and client operations. The position combines large language model (LLM) and agent engineering, AWS serverless infrastructure, backend development, and operational problem-solving. The developer translates complex business workflows into reliable systems that process structured and unstructured information, interact with ERP and external systems, and route consequential decisions through appropriate human approval controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

AI and Agentic Workflow Engineering

  • Design and build AI agent pipelines using approved LLM platforms and APIs, including tool definitions, system prompts, context files, orchestration loops, state management, and exception handling.
  • Develop secure integrations that allow agents to interact with SQL databases, REST APIs, documents, images, spreadsheets, email, and other enterprise systems.
  • Enforce validated outputs using tools such as Pydantic or Zod and implement human approval checkpoints before consequential or irreversible actions.
  • Diagnose production behavior by tracing prompts, model responses, tool calls, validations, and downstream events; resolve issues through changes to prompts, schemas, code, or workflow design.
  • Choose between AI methods and deterministic logic based on reliability, risk, cost, and business requirements.

AWS and Cloud Engineering

  • Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure as code using CDK, preferably TypeScript, for serverless, data, integration, networking, identity, and security services.
  • Build event-driven and scheduled pipelines, including file and email triggers, event routing, API entry points, and recurring workflows.
  • Configure VPC-attached Lambda functions and secure database connectivity using scoped security groups, managed credentials, and appropriate connection-management patterns.
  • Maintain structured logging, alarms, distributed tracing, and deployment pipelines across development, staging, and production; apply least-privilege and security-by-default practices.

Client Systems, Discovery, and Documentation

  • Lead or participate in discovery with business stakeholders and client technical teams to understand processes, ERP schemas, data requirements, constraints, and approval points.
  • Create readable context-file, workflow, and technical specifications that document business rules, integrations, exception handling, validation, and approval logic.
  • Support testing, deployment, monitoring, incident resolution, documentation, and continuous improvement of production solutions.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned to support changing business needs.
  • Success Measures
  • Solutions meet approved requirements and produce accurate, secure, validated, and auditable outcomes.
  • Production systems achieve agreed reliability, performance, and support expectations, including effective approval and exception controls.
  • Projects progress predictably, risks are surfaced early, and documentation supports review, maintenance, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three to six years of software, cloud, backend, or AI engineering experience, including delivery of production systems.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and supporting production solutions across AI, cloud, backend, or data environments.
  • Ability to work independently through ambiguity and communicate technical designs clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Client-facing discovery, consulting, solution design, or technical documentation experience.
  • Experience integrating solutions with enterprise resource planning systems or other operational platforms.
