Department Overview
Devices Android Application Development Team is responsible for architecting, designing Android applications for use by Public Safety customers.
Job Description

Responsibilities will range from requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing Android mobile applications.

  • Desired skills but not required:

    • Kotlin software experience

    • Familiarity with wide range of Android Framework components such as Bluetooth, Sensors, Widgets, Services, etc.

    • Familiarity with Android security features and mechanisms

    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services

    • Knowledge of Git, Object oriented development, Agile software development methodologies

    • Demonstrated experience in mobile application software development on Android (Android Studio, and Android frameworks)


Basic Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a technical discipline is required.

  • Must have a graduation date on or after December 2027.

  • Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
