Android Developer

As an Android Developer in Bank of Georgia, you will collaborate with our development team and business units. You will be in charge of analyzing, developing, executing, implementing, bug-fixing and maintaining software application systems. If you are a resourceful, creative and team-oriented who can cooperate with others to deliver solutions, this position is for you!

What you will do:

• Prioritize and organize tasks to maximize productivity and deliver high quality work on time;

• Understand project scope, project goals, product functionality, and desired features;

• Plan, develop and deliver high-quality increments alongside teammates for a product;

• Analyze and break features down into tasks to manage their priorities and deadlines;

• Design a system to match the existing architecture and improve it to accommodate changing demands and requirements;

• Build design components to support multiple projects;

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and integrations points;

• Maintain existing software, improve quality and keep up with technological advancements;

• Participate in code reviews;

• Present technical ideas and solutions to a group of peers.

What you have:

• Proficiency with native Androidapplication development (Using Kotlin, Java will be a plus);

• Experience with high-performance UI development, including Custom Android controls and UI elements;

• Strong mobile system development skills (sensors, media, algorithms, threading, memory management, sync, networking, power);

• Good knowledge of Android application architecture and patterns;

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services;

• Understanding of Google design principles and interface guidelines;

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git);

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, multi-tasking skills;

• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;

• Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to communicate effectively in Georgian and English;
