We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Applications Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the migration of our software products to cloud-native code. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, software development, and best in class SDLC.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and develop architectural solutions that meet business needs.
  • Oversee the migration of existing software products to cloud-native platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, promoting best practices in software development and cloud architecture.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our development efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly those related to data security and privacy.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Architectural understanding of scalable architectures and system designs
  • Cloud and infrastructure platform knowledge, including cost and performance optimization
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices for efficient application delivery and maintenance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience as an Applications Architect or similar role, with a focus on SaaS, POS systems preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, microservices).
  • Experience with software development languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, Node.js).
  • Expertise in migrating legacy, on-premises products to cloud-hosted solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, particularly those relevant to POS systems.
