Join our team, based out of New York City, Chicago and Denver, and help us give our diners the exceptional value they deserve.

About The Opportunity

The Associate Account Manager role is the main point of contact for Grubhub Enterprise Marketplace franchise group accounts. You will be tasked with developing successful client partnerships by overseeing experiences and expectations while building the value of Grubhub and its affiliate sites.

Your goals will focus on launch, retention, account maintenance, and revenue generation of franchised accounts. Working with internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for coordinating across multiple internal teams to help ensure a successful launch. Post-launch, you will be communicating with clients on a regular basis, maintaining a high retention rate of your portfolio, as well as exploring ways to grow each account.

This role requires the keen ability to assess, triage, diagnose and prescribe solutions to support our restaurant partners in a variety of ad hoc scenarios. You are expected to work both as a collaborative team member and an autonomous and independently critical thinker when the situation calls.

The Impact You Will Make
  • Serve as day to day point of contact for Franchisees and Franchise groups

  • Upsell Franchise Partners on rate increases, marketing opportunities, and new tools/features

  • Have ownership on accurate account information and pipeline in Salesforce

  • Collaborate with the Account Manager with compiling and presenting information for Quarterly Business Reviews and strategic client meetings

  • Participate in weekly client calls with the Account Manager

  • Execute individual and regional marketing campaigns for Franchise Partners

  • Increase revenue across book of business and reduce cancellations/attritions

  • Manage external restaurant trainings and operational efficiencies

  • Monitor market closures: special events, holidays, natural disaster notifications

  • Follow-up on inbound requests from clients or the Grubhub Care Team

  • Route all escalations in a timely manner to correct internal departments and ensure proper expectations are set and met with Franchise Partners

What You Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or highschool diploma/GED

  • Must be in the Chicago area

  • 1-2 Years in Account Management, Sales, or experience working with large clients

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google products) with the ability to quickly learn new software. Experience with Salesforce.com or similar and JIRA a plus

  • Dynamic personality who possesses a positive attitude and desire to find mutually beneficial solutions

  • Coach-ability. Open to new ideas and continuous feedback. Constantly looking to grow your skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly, appropriately, and professionally to clients/internal audiences

  • Expertise in problem-solving skills – identifying root causes, customer needs, and providing solutions quickly and efficiently in real-time

  • Confident making outbound dials on the phone

  • Passion for working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Experience working with or selling to restaurant owners a plus

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.
