Associate Director, Governance & Data Management Operations Enablement (Remote)
Job Overview
This Associate Director will sit within the Data Management organization and at the center of how IQVIA Digital scales data-driven products securely, compliantly, and efficiently. The Governance and Data Management Operations Enablement lead is responsible for operationalizing data governance and compliance requirements, along with setting clear operating models, repeatable processes, and practical enablement across Data Management and the enterprise.
As a highly visible, cross-functional leader, this role partners closely with Data Management, Product, and Information Governance to ensure data use, documentation, and compliance practices are consistently executed without slowing innovation. The role also serves as the primary representative for IQVIA Digital in enterprise data governance forums, helping shape standards that support both regulatory rigor and product velocity.
Key Responsibilities
Governance Leadership & Representation
- Serve as the primary IQVIA Digital representative on enterprise data governance committees and boards
- Lead data governance and compliance initiatives in close partnership with IQVIA Information Governance
- Ensure consistent application of data governance, compliance, and documentation standards across IQVIA Digital data management and products
Operating Model & Enablement
- Develop, implement, and document cross-organization operating models, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), workflow diagrams (e.g., Lucidchart), and governance frameworks
- Create, standardize, and operationalize Data Use Agreements (DUAs), Data Dictionaries, Data Catalogs, and related governance artifacts
- Drive operational efficiency through standardization, clear documentation, and scalable enablement practices
Executive Communication & Knowledge Management
- Own and evolve the Data Management SharePoint site as the authoritative source for design, processes, and documentation
- Develop high-quality, executive-ready materials for senior leadership, governance committees, and external stakeholders
- Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience spanning data management, data governance, compliance, data-driven operations, website design, program management, or related disciplines
- Experience operating in regulated environments such as health, pharmaceutical, life sciences, and/or ad-tech
- Strong working knowledge of data governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and enterprise compliance practices
- Proven ability to partner effectively with Data Management, Product, GTM, Leadership, and Information Governance teams
- Exceptional ability to operate in highly matrixed, cross-functional environments and influence without direct authority
- Demonstrated strength in executive communication, processes, documentation, and stakeholder management
- Exceptional organization and execution skills, including effective prioritization, critical thinking, stakeholder management (up and down), and strong accountability ownership
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $84,400.00 - $235,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Top Skills
