The Senior Data Architect will lead enterprise data modernization and migration strategies to Azure, driving analytics and high-performance solutions, mentoring teams throughout the transformation process.
Role Brief:
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect with strong experience in on-premises and Azure data platforms, along with proven expertise leading migrations from on-prem environments to Microsoft Azure.
This is a hands-on, strategic role driving enterprise data transformation. The architect will shape the modernization of data platforms, leveraging experience in data analytics, data engineering, and advanced analytics to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with the ability to guide teams, influence stakeholders, and enable data-driven business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the enterprise data modernization strategy, including cloud migration from on-prem to Azure
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms
- Lead hands-on design and implementation of hybrid (on-prem + Azure) data environments
- Establish enterprise standards for data governance, security, and quality
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to enable AI, analytics, and advanced data-driven insight
- Mentor and guide data engineering and analytics teams, ensuring alignment with architecture and transformation goals
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics
- Proven expertise with Azure Data Platform (ADF, Synapse, Databricks, ADLS) and Microsoft Fabric
- Strong experience designing hybrid architecture and leading enterprise-scale migrations
- Deep skills in data modeling, SQL, performance optimization, and analytics design
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Azure certifications preferred
