What You'll Do

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and define requirements for Applied's Employee Benefits (EB) technical solution.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, translating requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria using Agile methodologies.
  • Defines appropriate acceptance criteria to meet business needs.
  • Ensures the development team can be continually fed by planning, monitoring, and analyzing the requirements throughout the roadmap and release planning process.
  • Considers the needs of all client constituents, both internal and external, with the goal of delivering software to clients of all sizes - small as well as global in nature.
  • Facilitates communication with internal stakeholders to determine clear understanding of business problems that can be solved by technology solutions.
  • Understands, supports, and delivers on the corporate roadmap, vision, and goals.
  • Contributes to the success of our quarterly planning process.
  • Work collaboratively with Product teams to define product direction and drive growth.
  • Contribute to product roadmap planning activities to ensure alignment with market demands and strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain support processes to address product performance and support issues effectively.
  • Provide sales support by effectively communicating the value proposition of solutions to clients and prospects.
  • Conduct market research to gather insights and inform product development decisions.
  • Define detailed design specifications for software projects, leveraging your technical understanding of full-stack applications.


What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

  • Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office.


Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis within Agile, focusing on delivering successful data-driven products.
  • Domain expertise in Employee Benefits is preferred. Accounting experience within EB is nice to have.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing data-driven products and solutions.
  • Strong Agile/Scrum discipline, adept at leading cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, data visualization tools, reporting tools and tech stack; experience with Looker is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, driving the implementation of value-added features.
  • Technical proficiency across full-stack applications.
  • Ability to define detailed design specifications and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Computer Engineering, Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines
