About the Role

EnsembleIQ is seeking a seasoned, results-driven Associate Publisher to lead our business development efforts, manage the sales team, and oversee key accounts. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for brand revenue, acting as the critical bridge between brand vision and daily execution to ensure the team exceeds targets within the hospitality technology industry.

The Associate Publisher will also play a pivotal role at our events, engaging in public speaking and serving as a key brand leader. The ideal candidate possesses deep relationships within the technology,  foodservice technology or retail sectors and the consultative skill set required to navigate complex, multi-platform discovery and closing processes.

We are looking for a high-energy sales leader who understands how to monetize multi-platform content, including digital advertising, demand generation, high-ticket event sponsorships, custom research, and memberships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets by managing a territory of key accounts and one senior account executive, developing consultative proposals, and closing deals across an integrated media portfolio.
  • Sales Acumen & Forecast Precision: Maintain CRM data hygiene and pipeline transparency. Monitor lead velocity and pivot sales strategies in real-time to mitigate gaps. Demonstrate a sophisticated approach to forecasting by providing the Publisher with data-backed revenue projections to ensure quarterly and annual targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor foodservice technology trends, competitor movements, and audience data to identify new market opportunities or emerging technology categories.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with brand leadership—including the Publisher and editorial teams—to conceptualize and launch innovative B2B products that fill market gaps and leverage unique brand attributes.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as a senior-level brand ambassador at industry trade shows and networking events.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Industry Experience & Relationships: 7+ years of B2B media sales experience, specifically within the technology, foodservice, or hospitality sectors. Established relationships with technology solution providers in the foodservice industry are preferred.
  • Consultative Sales Mastery: Proven ability to conduct deep client discovery and craft sophisticated, custom proposals that transcend standard advertising units.
  • Strategic Liaison Skills: Ability to translate client needs into editorial vision, ensuring commercial products provide high value for sponsors while remaining highly relevant to the audience.
  • Individual Contributor and Leadership Mindset: A self-starter who enjoys the "hunt" and the "close" for a two million dollar personal territory but seeks the added responsibility of influencing the brand's strategic direction and leading an account executive.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to monitor audience data and engagement metrics to identify market threats or opportunities.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills: Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to articulate the unique value of the ecosystem to C-suite technology executives.
  • Brand Representation: Serve as the face of the brand at major industry events to spark new business and strengthen market presence.

Benefits & Culture

We offer a comprehensive compensation package including health, dental, and vision insurance, with tax-advantaged HSA/FSA options and a monthly stipend for internet. Our coverage includes 100% company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance. Retirement savings include a 401(k) plan, complemented by a holistic well-being program and various optional coverages. We provide generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and a supportive EAP within our award-winning, high-performance collaborative culture.

To support your growth, we provide a robust career development pathway featuring continuous feedback, specialized skills training, and strong leadership. We are committed to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and have a DEIB Council dedicated to fostering an environment where every voice is heard and innovation is driven by our diverse perspectives.
