This position may be filled remotely, or in any of our locations.

The Athletic Consultant will provide critical support for the Playbook App by assisting clients with onboarding, training, and ongoing application support, while delivering exceptional customer service to athletes, families, and club staff. This role contributes to marketing and user feedback efforts to support the growth and effective use of the Playbook App by clients. Essential functions include:

Club & Partner Support

  • Serve as a point contact of support for club directors, recruiting coordinators, and staff using the Playbook App
  • Assist with club onboarding, including setup coordination, basic training support, and follow up communication
  • Help ensure clubs understand how to effectively position and use the Playbook App with athletes and families
  • Track onboarding progress and maintain organized records of club engagement and adoption

Customer Service & User Support

  • Support athletes, parents, and club staff with basic app questions, navigation guidance, and issue escalation
  • Assist in responding to incoming inquiries in a professional, timely, and service oriented manner
  • Help document frequently asked questions, common challenges, and user feedback to improve the overall experience
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure consistent, high quality support

Communications & Correspondence

  • Assist with drafting and managing email communications to club directors, partners, and families
  • Support outreach efforts related to demos, onboarding, updates, and ongoing engagement
  • Help maintain a clear, consistent voice aligned with Husch Blackwell Consulting and the Playbook brand

Marketing & Engagement Support

  • Assist with marketing initiatives related to the Playbook App, including outreach campaigns, messaging support, and content organization
  • Help track engagement metrics and user adoption trends across participating clubs
  • Support preparation for demos, webinars, or informational sessions for clubs and families
  • Contribute ideas to improve communication, education, and adoption of the platform

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Help organize internal documents, onboarding materials, and support resources
  • Assist with data tracking related to club usage, feedback, and engagement
  • Provide general project support to the Playbook App and Husch Blackwell Consulting education team as needed

POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS 

  • 4-year degree in marketing or a related field or commensurate professional and educational experience
  • 5 years college playing experience, division 1 collegiate or professional athletic experience preferred 
  • Experience providing a high level of client service to individuals at all levels of an organization 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write and produce client-facing materials 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability build consensus, and create excitement and support for initiatives and products
  • Demonstrated success in working collaboratively across internal and external stakeholder groups

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • State of California: $99,000 - $202,000
  • State of Colorado: $91,000 - $162,000
  • State of Illinois: $89,000 - $174,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $99,000 - $189,000
  • State of Maryland: $96,000 - $145,000
  • State of Minnesota: $99,000 - $164,000
  • Jersey City, NJ: $108,000 - $195,000
  • State of New York: $92,000 - $199,000
  • State of Vermont: $98,000 - $188,000
  • State of Washington: $96,000 - $182,000
  • Washington, D.C.: $128,000 - $188,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
