Job Responsibilities:
Job Introduction:
Oversees all activities related to process controls, maintenance, manufacturing, installation, support, documentation and testing activities of all equipment including, but not limited to, robotics, assembly, on-line fixtures, conveyor systems, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot electrical problems.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical control systems, wiring setups, and lighting systems.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
Assist in moves and installs machinery.
Responsible for the startup and shutdown of specific plant machines and equipment.
Participate in process improvement.
Maintain housekeeping in the department in order to facilitate a neat, safe, and orderly work environment.
Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Assist management as appropriate, to ensure all environmental and safety regulations as well as best practices are met and/or exceeded. Ensure the proper segregation and labeling of all waste products and recyclables and ensure waste minimization is practiced wherever possible. Adhere to all plant safety rules.
Position Requirements:
Ability to be licensed and drive a forklift, Boom lift and scissor lift.
Ability to work all shifts.
Ability to work overtime when necessary.
Experience:
Five (5) years of electrical experience.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills:
Blueprint reading.
Knowledge and use of precision gauging equipment.
Knowledge of machine tool operation, machine design and operation.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred.
Ability to work in a team or individual environment.
Ability to run 480/3/60Hz circuits keeping up with all OSHA requirements.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with automated equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting equipment for both electrical and non-electrical issues.
  • Experience running electrical circuits.
  • Solid understanding of principles used in multi-axis robotic systems, conveyor transport systems,
  • Strong "hands-on" capability in the installation and programming robotic and PLC controls systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills; customer focused
  • Understanding of manufacturing, assembly, sequencing and equipment principles

  • Regulatory compliance with local, state and federal legislations.
  • Establishing plant-wide measurable and goals that meet or exceed industry standards, and are monitored, tracked and audited on a regular basis and communicated to employees.
  • Recognition of accomplishments/milestones in the areas of safety, environmental, ergonomics and employee wellness.
  • Development of effective programs that increase employee awareness and involvement in the areas of safety, environmental, ergonomics and employee wellness.
  • Accountability of supervisors for enforcing safety rules and implementing the necessary training and corrective actions to ensure proper focus on established objectives.
