The Opportunity
As an AWM Regulated Investment Company (RIC) Tax Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through complex tax regulations and optimizing their tax positions. Within our Tax practice, you will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws, analyzing financial data, preparing and filing tax returns, and assisting businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimizing risks of non-compliance. As a Senior Associate, you will leverage your skills to build meaningful client relationships, manage and inspire others, and navigate complex situations. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality work while embracing ambiguity and using these moments as opportunities for growth.
In this role, you will utilize a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems. You will develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is evolving, using critical thinking to break down complex concepts and interpret data to inform insights and recommendations. Upholding professional and technical standards, you will reinforce the firm's code of conduct and independence requirements, contributing to the delivery of client solutions and the firm's overall business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and analyzing financial data to prepare and file tax returns for regulated investment companies
- Navigating complex tax regulations to optimize clients' tax positions and minimize risks of non-compliance
- Building meaningful client connections and managing relationships to anticipate and address client needs
- Utilizing analytical thinking and tax research skills to provide strategic tax planning and compliance advice
- Drafting and preparing tax documents to support regulatory submissions and filings
- Monitoring and analyzing financial trends to inform insights and recommendations for asset and wealth management clients
- Upholding professional and technical standards in accordance with PwC tax and audit guidance
- Collaborating with teams to enhance project management and deliver quality client solutions
- Embracing change and using intellectual curiosity to develop a deeper understanding of the evolving business context
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment (Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity).

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $214,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
