Compensation ranges from $26.00 - $28.00 per hour.

Summary

The Benefits Administrator provides support to the US based Proman Associates through education, enrollment, error resolution, and coordination of termination. Interact with all US based business units to ensure benefit inquiries are addressed, maintain data feeds to minimize discrepancies, and deliver benefit education.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and processes employee benefits; new enrollments, benefit changes, terminations.
  • Responds to basic benefit inquiries from Associates and vendors in a timely manner.
  • Escalates issues where appropriate in a timely manner.
  • Reviews file feeds and ensure any issues are addressed from HRIS to vendor portals for all benefit enrollment/changes/terminations.
  • Responsible for manual input of benefit data as necessary.
  • Oversees COBRA administration.
  • Acts as benefits subject matter expert (SME) educating employees on benefit offerings.
  • Collaborates with payroll and ensures that employer contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and administration of benefit communication and educational initiatives.
  • Works closely with Insurance Broker to ensure all benefit related issues are addressed, including but not limited to file feeds, provider services, invoicing, etc.
  • Monitors and processes all benefit plan invoices.
  • Maintains accurate benefits records and employee documentation in accordance with record retention requirements. 
  • Supports the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Assists with benefits compliance activities including ACA reporting, nondiscrimination testing, and required distribution notices.
  • Creates and maintains process documentation for internal procedures.
  • Maintains integrity and accuracy of data entry into the HRIS/ATS.
  • Coordinates with vendors to resolve claim issues and employee escalations.

Requirements

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to proactively prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints and with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to compile reports using various data sources.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and auditing skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including ability to interpret and explain benefit policies to employees at all levels.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including pivot tables, formulas, XLOOKUP, data reconciliation, and analysis of large data sets.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in HR.
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Experience with multi-state benefits administration preferred.
  • HRIS systems knowledge - Employee Navigator and/or Paylocity - preferred.
  • Successful record of creating and maintaining internal processes for optimal efficiency.
