About This Job

The Brands Ad Analyst is a critical partner to the Dutchie Ads sales team, sitting at the intersection of data analytics, client services, and digital advertising strategy. This role is responsible for equipping the sales team with the data and narratives they need to win new business and retain existing clients. You will build compelling, data-driven stories that demonstrate the impact of advertising on Dutchie’s platform, deliver strategic recommendations for campaign optimization, and serve as a trusted analytical voice in client-facing conversations.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing SQL queries in Snowflake, building dashboards in visualization tools, and presenting performance insights to brand partners. You thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and bring a consultative mindset to every interaction.

What You'll Do…

New Business Support

  • Develop data-driven prospect briefs identifying high-potential brand targets based on market share, category penetration, and competitive positioning
  • Build budget recommendations and media plans grounded in historical performance benchmarks and retailer-level data
  • Create compelling pitch materials, including performance projections and ROI scenarios, to support the sales team in new business presentations

Existing Business – Monthly & Quarterly Reporting

  • Own the end-to-end production of monthly performance narratives for brand clients, translating raw ad data into clear, strategic stories for client review meetings
  • Conduct quarterly deep-dive analyses evaluating campaign health, incrementality, share of voice, and consumer behavior trends
  • Frame insights around business outcomes—connecting ad spend to ROAS, new buyer acquisition, market dollar share, and conversion rate improvements

Dashboard & Visualization

  • Design and maintain client-facing dashboards and internal reporting tools using visualization platforms such as Hex or Looker
  • Develop reusable templates and automated workflows to streamline monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all deliverables through rigorous QA processes

Strategic Partnership

  • Serve as the analytical voice in client meetings, confidently presenting findings and fielding data questions from brand stakeholders
  • Provide strategic recommendations for new campaign launches, budget reallocations, and placement optimizations based on performance data
  • Quantify the cost of inaction—translate ad spend pauses or reductions into measurable performance impact to reinforce the value of sustained investment

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Product Testing

  • Work closely with Sales, Ad Operations, and Product teams to align on priorities, surface data needs, and communicate insights across the organization
  • Participate in product testing for new ad placements, targeting features, and platform capabilities, providing structured feedback grounded in performance data
  • Support ad hoc analytical requests from the sales team with quick, accurate turnarounds
What You Bring...

Required

  • 3-5+ years of experience in digital advertising analytics, media analytics, ad operations, or a related data-driven role
  • Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience querying large datasets (Snowflake strongly preferred)
  • Strong data storytelling ability—you can turn a table of numbers into a narrative that drives action
  • Comfort in client-facing settings: you can present findings clearly and handle questions with confidence
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and product teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables across clients and deadlines

Technical Skills:

  • Use snowflake or Hex to maintain, update and create ad reporting for client reviews
  • Be familiar with the following schemas:
    • Ad platform Data
    • POS Data
    • Telemetry Data

    • Retailer Data
  • Understand how all of the following relate to each other in order to build:
    • Market Share Reports
    • Market Impact Reports

  • Understand ads, snowflake and the data to write queries to test impact of campaign optimizations
  • Work with Product team to rewrite incrementality report with A-B testing using ad server and user level data
It’s a Bonus if You…
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Hex, Looker, or similar BI platforms
