As a Business Analyst, you will be part of a strategic problem-solving team supporting our broader Foodservice team.  You will own and lead analytics models and projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data-driven insights. This role focuses on executing models and projects with excellence, maintaining data quality, and providing insights to both internal and external customers while supporting strategic initiatives.  This role requires a high degree of supply chain knowledge, logical thinking and data analysis.  Your work will influence how customers reduce transportation waste in their supply chains and how Lineage Foodservice can operate more efficiently and profitably.  

This is a remote position however candidates must live in a reasonable commutable distance to the Lineage Hanover Park, IL facility for onsite meetings as required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analytics & Insights: Ideate, recommend, and conduct proactive data analysis (including redistribution models) to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive customer value, business improvements, and opportunities. Provide data-driven actionable insights that help identify high-potential Lineage growth opportunities.
  • Data Management: Support the collection, storage, and management of large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. Proactively tackle areas where data is incomplete, overly difficult to generate, or non-existent.   Identify, effectively communicate, and work to close any data gaps or inconsistencies.  Support data governance initiatives to ensure high integrity in our data, improve the consistency of data across all applications, and reduce duplication of data.  Maintain documentation of processes and methodologies.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Use data visualization tools to elevate reports and dashboards for both internal and external customers.  Work to enhance the quality of data visualizations and ensure information is delivered in the most consumable manner.  Create and maintain automated, accurate, timely, and detailed reports and dashboards that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Presentations: Turn insights and analysis into meaningful, actionable, and impactful stories bringing the opportunity to life by integrating multiple datasets. Prepare and present analytical findings, progress updates, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders at all levels to inform decision-making and improve organizational performance.  Create persuasive presentations tailored to specific customer needs and communicate effectively.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Projects: Lead and support cross-functional work based on customer or business needs, strategic projects, and/or requests.  Leverage lean principles and processes and work closely with key stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making and align efforts across the organization. 
  • Communication: Translate complex quantitative analyses into simple, business‑ready recommendations.  Communicate proactively, using structured storytelling and clear logic to influence decision‑making.  Adapt communication style based on audience—executives, cross‑functional teams, or technical partners.  Deliver written and verbal communication that is polished, succinct, and aligned to organizational standards.  Engage constructively in discussions, ensuring clarity, alignment, and shared understanding
  • Industry Knowledge: Actively stay current in analytics, supply chain, food industry, customers and brands and transportation business insights, trends and knowledge.  Leverage industry knowledge and proactively apply that knowledge to increase customer value and Lineage growth. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Statistics or similar.  Will consider equivalent years of experience or combination of education and experience in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, analytics, or data management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing priorities. 
  • Experience in the performance of analytical support for transportation and supply chain operations
  • Well versed in Microsoft office suite of products, including advanced experience with Excel 
  • Experience with predictive modeling or advanced analytics techniques is a plus.

Pay Range:$75,400.00 - $135,600.00
