The Consumer Bank Checking Acquisition & Marketing Analytics team is looking for a Business Analytics Manager to drive consumer household and checking portfolio growth. This role is for a player coach – someone who is equally comfortable mentoring analysts and personally pitching in to build out the campaign files, dashboards, and account and program valuations needed to enable the business to operate. This person will lead campaign strategy and audience design, checking and household growth forecasting, marketing spend forecasting for a multi-million dollar annual budget, and performance analytics that enable the business to connect marketing spend to measurable outcomes. This person will also lead the construction of business cases for the Checking Business and Performance Marketing teams covering new products, services, capabilities, and marketing channels.

The ideal candidate excels at building customer segmentation based on data signals and customer research, translating complex data into actionable insights, and communicating up and down the reporting chain on where the leverage is. This is a fast-paced environment that will reward a leader who can stay calm under pressure, pivot quickly as performance and priorities shift, and deliver rigorous analysis without losing sight of the big picture. This role will require proactively managing partners and solving multiple problems for the business. It will also require the ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage self and others to tight deadlines.

This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the future of Consumer Banking acquisitions and deliver measurable business outcomes, while growing net new households for KeyBank.

Essential Functions

  • Proactively solve business problems leveraging complex data
  • Leverage knowledge of KeyCorp and LOB strategy, business, and competition to anticipate needs and make recommendations
  • Drive projects end to end; prioritize multiple projects; manage to tight deadlines
  • Review deliverables; coach others on approach and work product
  • Lead business partner interactions; drive for results and provide recommendations in alignment with business priorities Effectively communicate with team and business partners; articulate broad implications / impact of messages
  • Address challenging situations; anticipate and address conflict by demonstrating managerial courage
  • Proactively coach and guide the work of others; Serve as mentor within and beyond own team
  • Manage integration of activities typically within own team
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or the Natural Sciences (required) or
  • Master's Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or the Natural Sciences (preferred)

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree (required) or
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and a master's degree (preferred)

Skills

  • Skill in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data presentation
  • Ability to write queries or code including complex joins
  • Ability to use business intelligence and data visualization tools to tell impactful stories with data
  • Ability to work with analytical programming languages for data analysis like Python, R, SQL, Java
  • Understanding of process flow and automation
  • Ability to work with big data
  • Ability to navigate data warehouse and/or data supply chain

Physical Demands

  • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Travel

  • Occasional travel to include overnight stay.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 - $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
