We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Central Functional Consultant to join a growing professional services team supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.

This is a senior, customer-facing consulting role for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, leading implementation engagements, and becoming a trusted advisor to customers. Beyond executing implementations, you will help shape consulting methodologies, improve delivery practices, and introduce modern approaches involving AI, automation, and process optimization.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Lead functional implementations from discovery through go-live, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Serve as a trusted functional advisor to customers throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Conduct discovery sessions and workshops to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Business Central solutions.
  • Configure standard Business Central functionality and collaborate with technical teams and implementation partners.
  • Participate in solution design discussions, product demonstrations, project scoping, and customer presentations.
  • Guide customers through complex functional challenges and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
  • Train end users and administrators and develop clear implementation documentation.
  • Support successful project delivery by identifying risks, resolving functional issues, and maintaining strong stakeholder alignment.
  • Collaborate with internal product, consulting, and customer-facing teams to continuously improve implementation methodologies.
  • Identify recurring customer requirements and provide actionable feedback to product teams.
  • Recommend enhancements, process improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled approaches that improve customer outcomes.
  • Contribute to best practices and help strengthen the capabilities of the broader consulting team.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional consulting.
  • Proven experience leading Business Central implementations from discovery through deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of core Business Central modules, including:
    • Sales
    • Purchasing
    • Inventory
    • Jobs/Projects
    • Fixed Assets
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, solution design, functional configuration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and advising business and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with implementation partners, developers, product teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong consultative approach with the ability to balance customer requirements with scalable solution design.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and ownership of complex customer engagements.
  • Interest in AI, automation, and process improvement, with the ability to identify opportunities to apply modern tools to consulting workflows.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification is a plus.
  • Experience with ISV or industry-specific Business Central solutions is an advantage.
Travel

Approximately 20–25% travel, primarily for customer meetings, strategic implementations, workshops, and key project milestones. This is not a road-warrior position.
