Position Overview:
We are launching a new growth initiative at the intersection of professional learning, frontier data, and the broader AI ecosystem. This highly entrepreneurial role is designed for a business development leader who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and can engage credibly with technical and product stakeholders. You will operate in discovery mode—identifying opportunities, shaping early partnerships, and helping us learn where our assets and capabilities can create value for AI-native companies and technology innovators.

This is a fully remote role that starts as a 6-month contract, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position.

What You'll Do

  • Scan the AI ecosystem for emerging trends, technologies, and partnership opportunities relevant to professional learning and human data products.
  • Develop a structured approach to hypothesis testing and opportunity validation.
  • Share market intelligence and partnership learnings with senior leadership to shape long-term strategy.
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with AI-native companies, technology innovators, and ecosystem players.
  • Structure and negotiate early-stage agreements that enable experimentation and learning.
  • Build joint value propositions and co-create pilot programs with partners.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to align partnership initiatives with corporate growth priorities.
  • Influence internal stakeholders to secure resources and support for partnership-driven pilots.
  • Translate insights from discovery into scalable GTM models and partnership frameworks.
  • Define success metrics for pilots and measure impact to inform future investment decisions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 10+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or product management.
  • 5+ years in fast-paced, execution-driven roles
  • Track record of closing partnerships/alliances in AI, data marketplace services, annotation/data ops, ML infrastructure, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Colibri Group welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, and we understand that not every candidate will meet every requirement listed in the job description. Research has shown that women and people of color may be less likely to apply to jobs unless they feel they meet every qualification, and we want to actively combat this bias in our hiring process. If you're excited about the role and believe you have the skills and experience to contribute to our team, we encourage you to apply, even if your background doesn't align perfectly with every qualification listed. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we believe that diversity of perspectives and experiences is essential to our success. You may be just the right candidate for this role or another position within our organization. Don't hesitate to take the leap and apply today!
