Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to oversee our trade show initiatives and collaborate closely with trade associations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategies that enhance our presence at trade shows, build relationships with industry partners, and drive business growth through effective networking and promotion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Show Management:
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of trade show participation, including booth design, logistics, and on-site management.
    • Develop and implement strategies to maximize trade show ROI, including pre-show marketing and post-show follow-up.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with trade associations, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual association royalty report
    • Work with branches to go drive new customers from association lists
    • Represent the company at association events, effectively communicating our value proposition.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape related to trade shows and industry events.
    • Gather feedback from trade show attendees and partners to improve future participation and engagement strategies.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align trade show strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Develop annual trade show calendars and budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Prepare regular reports on trade show performance, insights, and recommendations for improvement.
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding trade show initiatives and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or event management, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of trade shows and experience working with trade associations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in specific industry sectors relevant to the company's focus.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies to enhance trade show participation.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions using excel or other analytical tools

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000, and includes benefits such as the following:
