Our Business Development team focuses on expanding our client base in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector. This individual will join a very successful team that serves as an integral part of Mintel's business and will get the opportunity to partner with some of the key players in these industries. You must be a highly motivated individual with a positive, can-do approach to problem-solving and ideally have one year of sales or sales support experience.

This is a Hybrid position based in Chicago.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Building a Pipeline: Leveraging multiple sources to uncover prospects (Salesforce, Zoominfo, etc.) and setting appointments with prospects via phone, email, Linkedin, and other creative methods of outreach to build pipeline opportunities.
  • Converting Leads: Turning inbound  marketing leads and serving as the first contact point to leads.
  • Managing Prospects: Tracking a high volume of prospects in our sales database, Salesforce and recording of all interactions with qualified prospects.
  • Identifying and Prospecting Key Decision Makers: Targeting individuals within marketing and research divisions to understand their specific consumer insights needs.
  • Collecting Feedback: Gathering and relaying market feedback information to the sales and leadership teams.
  • Collaborating Internally: Working hand-in-hand with the Business Development Sales team (or other internal teams) to identify and capitalize on outreach strategies leveraging sales enablement technology.
  • Building Industry Knowledge: Developing an in-depth understanding of the CPG industry.

The below reflects the range of base salary for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and qualifications. The salary range for this role is: $44,000 USD to $55,000 USD.
