The Business Partner, Corporate Accounting sits within the Business Performance team and focuses on enterprise-level accounting and financial control activities. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of consolidated financial reporting, overseeing key general ledger areas, and supporting balance sheet and cash flow forecasting. The Business Partner partners with senior management and other departments to ensure accuracy, compliance and transparency in corporate financial reporting, providing critical insights to inform decision making at the enterprise level. This role interprets complex financial data, highlights trends, and tells the story behind the numbers to support informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities: Business Partner, Corporate Accounting

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Technical Accounting: Conduct technical accounting research and support application of complex GAAP principles. Be able to explain them clearly to non-finance stakeholders
General Ledger and Month End Close:  Own general ledger activities for certain key areas, perform month-end, quarterly and year-end close procedures (e.g. journal entries, consolidated account roll forwards, account reconciliations, analysis and investigate discrepancies independently. Be able to identify root causes and propose action to leadership.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation of balance sheet and cash flow budgets and forecasts.
Maintain Financial Controls: Implement and oversee controls to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support Audit Process: Assist with internal and external audits/auditors to ensure financial statements are reported correctly.
Partner Across the Organization to Support Decision-Making: Partner with senior management and cross-functional team members  to deliver decision-making support for key deliverables and business initiatives.
Manage Policy Training: Deliver training and guidance on accounting policies and procedures for business partners.
Conduct Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to business needs with timely and accurate reports and analysis as needed to support overall business.
About You

Knowledge (Required)

Proven experience in financial reporting preparation (including prior experience of statement of cash flows) providing clear analysis and insights
Consolidation processes (eliminations, functional currency, translation, revaluation)
US GAAP Technical Accounting Research & Application (i.e. ASC 606,842, 805 etc)

Required and Preferred Education/Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
CPA Professional Accounting designation (preferred)

Required and Preferred Work Experience

Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience with Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Research (month-end close, consolidations, reporting) (required) ; Planning/Forecasting  (preferred)
Hands on experience with EPM software (e.g., Workday, SAP, Adaptive)
Total RewardsThe annual pay range estimated for this position is $98,400.00 - $123,000.00 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
