ABOUT THE ROLE 

This internship provides a truly hands-on experience in new business development for students interested in building a successful sales career. You will receive extensive training on commodities, the energy industry, account management, and new business development while working directly with commercial and industrial customers. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Drive new business relationships: Generate opportunities through prospecting and outbound business development. 

  • Manage the sales process: Work directly with customers from prospecting through contracting. 

  • Deliver customized solutions: Help commercial and industrial customers find natural gas and power solutions that meet their needs. 

  • Develop pricing knowledge: Learn profitability management and product pricing strategies. 

  • Build customer relationships: Communicate professionally through calls, email, and customer interactions. 

  • Collaborate with a winning team: Work in a motivating, fast-paced environment that encourages growth and development. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • Sophomores, incoming juniors, juniors, or incoming seniors 

  • Business major preferred with a 3.0 GPA 

  • High attention to detail and comfort working with numbers 

  • Comfort communicating professionally by phone and email 

  • Independent, highly motivated, and competitive mindset 

  • Sales experience is a plus 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

Salary Range:

$31,200.00 - $62,400.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.

This role is also eligible for an uncapped sales commission.
