Remote call for CVs for international development practitioners specializing in development finance and economics, monitoring and evaluation, inclusion, climate action, program operations, and strategic communications. Candidates should have APAC experience, donor-funded program expertise, strong partnership and stakeholder management skills, analytical ability, excellent writing, and familiarity with major international donors including DFAT, FCDO, USG, ADB, World Bank, and MFAT.
This is a remote position.
Areas of Expertise
We welcome applications from practitioners with specialized backgrounds in the following domains:
- Development Finance and Economics: Guiding economic policy reform, catalyzing private sector growth, and deploying blended finance or impact investing solutions. This includes structuring innovative funding mechanisms, executing rigorous market and cost-benefit assessments, and promoting financial inclusion to foster resilient economic ecosystems.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL): Crafting and executing learning frameworks, performance tracking systems, and comprehensive program evaluations.
- Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI): Embedding inclusive practices across the program lifecycle to ensure equitable development outcomes.
- Climate Action: Advancing initiatives focused on climate finance, environmental resilience, and adaptation and mitigation strategies.
- Program Operations: Steering the financial, human resources, compliance, and contract management aspects of large donor-funded portfolios.
- Strategic Communications and Public Diplomacy: Driving stakeholder outreach, knowledge sharing, and impactful public diplomacy campaigns.
Requirements
Ideal Qualifications
To thrive in these upcoming roles, you should possess:
- A strong background in international development within the APAC region, preferably with consulting firms or managing contractors.
- A history of successfully leading or delivering complex programs while managing diverse partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Deep familiarity with the mechanisms of major international donors (such as DFAT, FCDO, USG, ADB, World Bank, MFAT, or similar institutions).
- Agility in fast-paced, cross-cultural work environments and the capacity to pivot alongside shifting project demands.
- The analytical prowess to distill complicated challenges into actionable insights for a variety of audiences.
- Exceptional writing capabilities, demonstrated through the production of clear, compelling briefings and technical reports.
