In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.

As a Digital IC Design Engineer, you'll architect new class of eUSB2/USB 2.0 hubs, hosts, and bridges for the next generation of AI data center, PC and mobile applications.  You'll define, design, model and verify digital circuits, which fully meet the performance, power, cost and schedule requirements. 

As a Digital IC Design Engineer, some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Partner with business teams and system engineering to develop mutually agreeable design specifications
  • Provide high-level analysis on chip architecture trade-offs to ensure spec compliance and superior performance at a competitive cost
  • Circuit design and verification using SystemVerilog.
  • Design for microcontroller-based architectures with familiarity with embedded firmware concepts.
  • Utilize latest design methodologies for design and verification, including AI/ML-based tools.
  • ASIC digital physical design (synthesis, DFT and place-‘n-route).
  • FPGA emulation to validate prototype designs for compliance and interoperability.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

Preferred qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field 
  • Relevant digital course work in advanced digital design, VLSI design, or design verification.
  • Relevant architecture course work in computer architecture, embedded computing, or networking/communications.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
