We enable next generation of Audio-Video solutions in cars whether it is to enable self-driving in an ADAS system or rear-seat entertainment in an IVI system. You will be part of the team enabling high end experience in the future generation of cars. 

In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.


As a Digital IC Design Engineer, you will be working on high-speed mixed-signal SerDes circuits using state-of-the art process technology, as well as be involved in the design of high-performance digital circuits interfacing to leading edge analog circuitry as part of an overall system. You will be working on multiple Audio-Video protocols including DisplayPort, MIPI CSI over CPHY/DPHY enabling solutions that require handling multiple AV streams, video processing, stream encryption and compression.

Your responsibilities will include defining architecture and micro-architecture, RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, verification, evaluation, debugging of high-speed SerDes chips both at the circuit level and behavioral level.

As a Digital IC Design Engineer, some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Partner with business teams and system engineering to develop mutually agreeable design specifications
  • Provide high-level analysis on chip architecture trade-offs to ensure spec compliance and superior performance at a competitive cost
  • Participate in design reviews and creating the necessary design and product documentation
  • Supervise IC layouts to ensure a high-performance standard
  • Characterize prototypes, developing test specifications and coordinating with test/product engineering to drive product releases
  • Drive behavioral models


This position involves routine communication with a highly talented team of analog and digital design engineers to solve problems and present information as well as active participation in work groups, providing ideas and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

Preferred qualifications:

  • RTL coding and synchronous/asynchronous digital skills
  • Experience with SystemVerilog and knowledge of simulation tools like Xcelium, code coverage and debug tools
  • Synthesis, STA, Lint checkers, Clock domain crossing (CDC) checkers, Logic equivalence checking and scripting skills in Perl, Tcl, Python etc.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
