Job Summary:
Owns the product vision, strategy, capability roadmap, quality, health, and support model for CatDealer.com, the dealer-facing digital hub that enables the Caterpillar dealer network through centralized access to digital tools, product information, service resources, business guidance, training, and communications. Partners with business, content, engineering, support, legal, compliance, accessibility, and dealer-facing stakeholders to ensure the site delivers reliable, compliant, searchable, and user-centered experiences that support dealer productivity and customer outcomes.
What You Will Do:
  • Product vision and strategy: Defines and maintains the CatDealer.com product vision, strategy, and capability roadmap in alignment with enterprise priorities, dealer network needs, Caterpillar digital standards, and long-term business goals.
  • Backlog ownership and prioritization: Creates, maintains, and prioritizes the product backlog, including site capabilities, user experience improvements, search configuration needs, accessibility remediation, compliance requirements, monitoring enhancements, documentation, and support improvements.
  • Requirements definition: Translates product strategy, stakeholder needs, and dealer feedback into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release-ready scope for engineering and delivery teams.
  • Dealer and stakeholder representation: Acts as the voice of the dealer and business customer by gathering, consolidating, and communicating feedback from dealers, field teams, support channels, content owners, business leaders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Sprint and release planning: Leads sprint and release planning with application engineering teams, including prioritization, requirements readiness, design alignment, business sign-off, UAT planning and execution, regression testing, Go/No-Go decisions, deployment coordination, and retrospectives.
  • Product quality and health: Accountable for product capability, quality, availability, performance, accessibility, legal and regulatory compliance, access control capability, incident response, and overall product health; establishes and monitors service-level expectations and drives corrective actions for sustained compliance.
  • Content, search, and discoverability: Partners with content owners to support effective content delivery, search engine configuration, site organization, and discoverability of digital solutions, product information, service resources, business guidance, training, and communications.
  • Cross-functional delivery and support: Coordinates with technical architecture, engineering, platform, maintenance, product support, customer support, legal, compliance, accessibility, and dealer-facing teams to resolve issues, manage dependencies, and deliver stable product enhancements.
  • Issue, risk, and improvement management: Identifies, documents, and communicates product issues, defects, risks, and improvement opportunities; ensures appropriate follow-through across support, engineering, business, and governance channels.
  • Governance, communications, and value realization: Maintains product documentation, release communications, stakeholder updates, governance materials, budget and resource planning inputs, and value measures to ensure transparency, adoption, operational readiness, and alignment to customer and business outcomes.

  • Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Software Change Request Management: Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from users and internal staff.
  • Software Engineering: Knowledge of software engineering; ability to deliver new or enhanced software products.
  • Software Problem Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems.
  • Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; current uses, future plans, and product vision.

Considerations For Top Candidates:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, information technology, computer science, engineering, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience in product ownership, product management, or digital platform delivery
  • Strong understanding of Agile practices and backlog management
  • Ability to define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience working with technical, business, support, and compliance teams
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of accessibility, compliance, search, and user experience concepts preferred
  • Dealer and Caterpillar business knowledge preferred

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $208,770.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
