Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff to support the Vice President of Growth and Partner Marketing (GPM) at Autodesk and the GPM team. This role is crucial in driving the success of the GPM team by providing operational, strategic, and administrative support. You will act as an important partner and trusted advisor, to build our team's goals and deliver key projects.

You will report directly to the Vice President of GPM.

This is a fully remote position that can be located in Canada or the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Vice President, GPM to plan and facilitate executive meetings/workshops with the rest of the organization. This can include formulating topics to cover, building and advising agendas, guiding the discussion, bringing together notes and action items and following up as appropriate

  • Design and guide outcome-oriented strategy meetings and workshops. This could include team building sessions, organizational reviews, strategy discussions, and other topics for team meetings

  • Assist in setting priorities and defining the team's yearly goals, objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure the effectiveness of GPM efforts. Track and report out on a quarterly basis

  • Help lead the annual budget and planning process for GPM, ensuring alignment to overall WWM objectives and strategy

  • Lead and manage cross-functional GPM projects/programs from conception to completion. This may include key strategic programs that impact the overall success of the company. Some projects will span beyond the scope of the group, requiring cross-company collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, engineering, product management, HR, and Finance to ensure timely and successful execution of GPM initiatives

  • Support the development of content for the VP of GPM including but not limited to the preparation of briefing materials, presentations, and reports for internal and external meetings

  • Manage communications: both internal team communications as well as to the wider Autodesk organization

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the GPM team including managing budgets and vendor invoicing

  • Identify and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, cross-functional team members and other external partners

  • Serve as a liaison between the Vice President, GPM, and various stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration

  • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness within the GPM team

  • Streamline processes, implement best practices, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Act as a 'trusted counsel' to the executive and senior leaders: provide insight and analysis on the organization's operations, key decision and other business areas as well as represent the VP in certain meetings he/she is unable to attend

  • Design and guide strategic meetings & workshops: This could include team building sessions, organizational reviews, strategy discussions, and other topics for team meetings

  • Frame problems and find structures and models that help people better understand the problem and trade-offs

  • Promote team effectiveness and programs: i.e. Business processes to streamline product development; Annual planning and strategic visioning; Product tooling and best practices for road-mapping, prototyping

  • Champion a spirit of collaboration and open communications: Work across teams to advance organizational goals and engender trust, including working with other Chiefs of Staff across the company, sharing and developing best practices

  • Develop and support presentation content for the Vice President, Growth and Partner Marketing . This can include presentations for executive meetings and content for the product team leaders to use

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to help them achieve their professional goals and objectives

  • Help with team culture and morale-focused initiatives in partnership with our people team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business administration, or related field preferred

  • 8+ years of experience being a strategic partner, leading large programs across teams or organizations, often working on multiple projects at the same time

  • 3-5+ years in a leadership role a plus

  • Prior experience in the Tech industry

  • Global company experience needed

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing preferred

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable strategies

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences

  • Versatile self-starter with a team-oriented work style. Ability to build credibility and relationships quickly across functions and levels

  • Ability to handle business sensitive information

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and guide stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $124,000 and $222,640. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $128,000 and $188,210. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
