Now, we’re looking for a Chief of Staff to operate as our CEO’s strategic partner—someone who can help me drive strategic priorities, bring clarity and alignment across teams, and maximize my effectiveness. This is a career accelerator for someone eager to experience the building of a high-growth company from the inside out, with direct exposure to executive decision-making, company strategy, and operational execution.
About the roleThis is a strategic leadership role for someone who wants to be embedded in the core challenges of scaling a company. You will serve as an integrator, problem solver, and force multiplier—ensuring that our CEO, the executive team, and the company at large are operating at peak effectiveness.
This role will be highly dynamic, evolving based on company needs and your strengths. Your work will focus on three core areas:
Strategic Execution & Decision Support- Partner with CEO to synthesize, prioritize, and drive our most important company-wide initiatives.
- Get into the weeds on critical strategic questions—from pricing and incentives to operational efficiency and product-market fit.
- Develop high-leverage insights based on internal data, external research, and direct engagement with our users.
- Prepare briefing materials, decision frameworks, and key insights to ensure our leadership team makes high-quality decisions fast.
- Serve as a connector across teams, ensuring that workstreams are aligned, priorities are clear, and execution is sharp.
- Identify and remove roadblocks—whether it’s a misalignment between teams, a gap in data, or a lack of clarity on next steps.
- Drive execution on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives—from operational improvements to new product rollouts.
- Act as a trusted thought partner to department heads, bringing an enterprise-wide perspective.
- Make sure the CEO's time and attention is focused on the highest-leverage activities. That means filtering noise, structuring decisions, and ensuring follow-through.
- Craft crisp, compelling communications—whether it’s internal strategy docs, board materials, or key updates to the team.
- Be a truth-teller and sounding board—someone who can challenge ideas, pressure-test assumptions, and help refine our strategic thinking.
This role is for a sharp, driven, and adaptable operator who thrives in ambiguity and loves solving hard problems. You should be:
A Strategic Thinker Who Can Execute- You have strong analytical and organizational skills, capable of breaking down complex problems and distilling them into clear, actionable insights.
- You not only make recommendations but also take action to make things happen.
- You have strong business judgment and can anticipate second- and third-order effects of decisions.
- You can synthesize and communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely—whether in writing or verbally.
- You have the emotional intelligence and presence to influence at all levels of the organization, from frontline teams to executives.
- You know how to bring alignment across teams and ensure follow-through on strategic priorities.
- You proactively address challenges, rather than shy away from them. You love taking on messy, undefined challenges and bringing order to chaos.
- You are highly adaptable and resourceful—capable of shifting between strategic and tactical work as needed.
- You have a bias for action. You move fast, iterate quickly, and get things done.
- You want a front-row seat to high-growth company building.
- You’re ambitious and eager to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
- You see this role as an accelerator for your career, with potential paths into operating leadership, strategy, or even entrepreneurship down the line.
There’s no single “right” background, but you likely have:
- 3-6 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture-backed startups, or a similar high-intensity environment.
- Strong strategic problem-solving skills—able to break down complex issues and drive clear insights.
- Experience in cross-functional project execution—whether through consulting engagements, M&A work, or operational leadership.
- A strong analytical toolkit—you can navigate data, synthesize insights, and make recommendations with clarity.
- A track record of taking ownership and executing with precision, even in unstructured environments.
- Unparalleled Exposure – Work side-by-side with a CEO building a fast-growing, category-defining company.
- High-Impact Work – You’ll be at the center of the action, tackling the most pressing challenges facing Roo.
- Career Acceleration – This is a stepping stone to future executive leadership, with direct access to company strategy, operations, and decision-making.
