The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$64,200.00 - $96,200.00

Purpose Statement:   This role is responsible for continuously improving test performance and equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing technical guidance. Beyond standard process support, this position focuses on high-level component debugging and schematic analysis to ensure high-yield manufacturing standards and seamless integration between R&D and production.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Component-Level Debugging: Analyze complex PCB assemblies at the component level to identify failures, debug test programs, and ensure high-yield manufacturing standards.

  • Schematic Analysis & Design Integration: Utilize a strong background in analog design and electronics to interpret complex schematics and integrate design-for-test (DFT) principles into the R&D process.

  • System Maintenance & Optimization: Manage and optimize line probe performance and fixture maintenance specifically for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Apply deep electronics engineering knowledge to resolve "niche" technical challenges associated with legacy ICT platforms and sophisticated board designs.

  • Manufacturing Solutions: Develop and provide services that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy customer requirements.

  • Process Execution: Successfully execute responsibilities in adherence to Plexus’ Manufacturing Processes and quality/change management procedures.

  • Documentation: Produce comprehensive project documentation and technical reports based on the needs of the project.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required; a Bachelor's degree in Electrical /Electronics Engineering or higher is preferred.

  • Less than One (1) year of related experience in in-circuit testing is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Other Qualifications:  

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Analog Design, DFT principles, and SMT production environments.

  • Software & Tools: Intermediate Computer Skills; experience with Lab tools and test/measurement equipment (Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers).

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills; familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software .

  • Soft Skills: Proactive attitude with the ability to work in a Cross-Discipline team environment and develop strong relationships with customers.

  • Problem Solving: Advanced decision-making skills, specifically regarding "niche" electronic failures and legacy platform support.
