THE HIGH LEVEL

Our Cisco Operations Specialist is responsible for the overall operational health and efficiency of the Cisco partnership. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) and related Cisco partner tools, ensuring accurate configuration, order processing, and issue resolution across the sales lifecycle.  Acting as a key liaison between Sales, Purchasing, Order Management, and Cisco, this position removes operational barriers, enables revenue flow, and drives process improvement through training, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Oversee the end-to-end operational execution of Cisco-related deals and orders
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance within Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW) and associated partner systems
  • Maintain the operational health of the Cisco relationship by proactively identifying and resolving process gaps
  • Partner with Sales teams to edit configurations, clear system errors, and prepare accurate submissions in CCW
  • Provide pre- and post-sales operational support to ensure deals move smoothly from quote to order
  • Act as the escalation point for complex Cisco ordering issues
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Order Management teams to:
    • Determine Cisco lead times and manage expectations around material constraints and recommits
    • Navigate logistics including returns (RMAs), order corrections, and shipment issues
    • Escalate and close requests for credits with Cisco
  • Develop and deliver training materials for inside sales teams, with a focus on Purchasing and Order Management
  • Educate internal stakeholders on CCW best practices, processes, and system updates
  • Create documentation and resources to improve efficiency and reduce repeat errors
  • Serve as the operational bridge between Sales, Purchasing, Order Management, and Cisco
  • Communicate status updates, risks, and resolution plans clearly to stakeholders
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance

  • Experience supporting sales operations, purchasing, or order management in a technology or channel environment
  • Working knowledge of Cisco ordering processes, logistics, and RMA/credit workflows
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system and configuration issues
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position must be based on the East Coast (preferably Washington DC Metro area) and requires 10% travel.
