Job Summary:

Acrisure is seeking a Claims Specialist to support the handling and resolution of multi-state claims, including workers’ compensation, indemnity, employer’s liability, and subrogation exposures. This role is responsible for investigating claims, coordinating claim activity, maintaining documentation, and supporting timely and compliant claim outcomes.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, communication, and working in a fast paced environment where organization and follow through are important. Prior claims or insurance experience is beneficial, but not required. Acrisure is open to training individuals who demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and an interest in building a long-term career within claims and insurance operations.

Candidates with backgrounds in customer service, insurance, healthcare, legal support, administration, banking, hospitality, or other client-facing environments are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a caseload of multi-state claims, including workers’ compensation, indemnity, employer’s liability, and subrogation exposures

  • Conduct initial claim investigations, including gathering information and communicating with involved parties

  • Communicate with injured workers, employers, medical providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the claims management system

  • Support timely delivery of benefits, notices, and claim related communications

  • Coordinate return to work activities and follow up with medical providers and employers as needed

  • Assist with litigation management activities and coordination with defense counsel when applicable

  • Review medical and expense documentation for accuracy and claim relevance

  • Prepare claim status updates and participate in claim review discussions

  • Collaborate with leadership and team members on complex or escalated claims

  • Support timely and professional claim resolution strategies

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous claims, insurance, customer service, healthcare, legal support, administrative, or related professional experience beneficial

  • Workers’ compensation claims experience beneficial but not required

  • Interest in learning claims handling and insurance operations

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation

  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems and software

  • Litigation exposure or claims handling experience beneficial

Education and Licenses:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelor’s degree or additional education beneficial

  • Relevant state licensing beneficial or ability to obtain as required

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
