About the Role

InMarket is seeking a strategic, commercially-minded Client Strategy Manager to join our Activation Client Strategy team.

You will partner with Sales Directors, Account Management, Ad Operations, and Data Analysts across the full client lifecycle to shape RFP responses and strategic proposals pre-sale, then use in-flight and post-campaign performance to inform smarter planning, deepen relationships, and grow the account.

We are also looking for someone fluent in AI who can build reusable skills, agents, and workflows that drive efficiencies and amplify outputs.

Core Areas of Responsibility

Media Planning & Strategic Recommendations

  • Own the development of InMarket media plans and strategic recommendations that connect a client's business objectives to specific audiences, Moments, channels, budgets, and flighting

  • Build client-facing planning collateral: proposals, one-pagers, category POVs, and strategy decks that are accurate but creative, succinct but thorough.

  • Keep abreast of emerging consumer behaviors, media channels, technologies, and competitors impacting our clients' categories, and feed that back into how we plan

Pre-Sales Partnership & Commercial Growth

  • Lead the strategic response to RFPs and briefs, partnering with Sales to shape a differentiated, winnable point of view

  • Co-present at client meetings and on calls, representing the strategic rationale behind the plan with confidence and clarity

  • Use in-flight and prior campaign performance to inform the next plan, turning results into the reason for the client's next investment

  • Act as an internal resource for Sales, Marketing, and Product on how best to position InMarket's activation capabilities against a given client challenge

Storytelling & Client Insight

  • Translate complex data into a simple, compelling narrative to state the non-obvious learning and answer the 'So What?' and 'Now What?'

  • Partner with Account Management, Ad Operations, and Data Insights Analysts to interpret campaign performance and convert it into forward-looking planning guidance

  • Present recommendations and results to internal and external audiences, ensuring the message lands clearly with both marketers and their agencies

  • Contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews, identifying macro trends and growth opportunities spanning multiple campaigns on key accounts

AI Fluency & Ways of Working

  • Use AI tools as a core part of the daily workflow for category research, data synthesis, competitive scanning, plan drafting, and building client-facing materials

  • Go beyond basic prompting to build reusable AI skills, templates, and agentic workflows that encode our planning best practices and scale across the team

  • Bring a kaizen mindset of small, continuous improvements to process, templates, and output quality that is driven proactively

Impact & Success Indicators

In your first 90 days

  • Fluent in InMarket's activation products, audience taxonomy, Moments capabilities, and how they map to common client objectives

  • Independently leading the strategic response on RFPs and briefs for assigned accounts

  • Trusted by your Sales partners to co-present the plan and defend the rationale on client calls

  • Built or improved at least one AI-assisted workflow that measurably speeds up a recurring part of the planning process

  • Delivered a strategic recommendation that surfaced an opportunity the client had not asked about

In your first year

  • Recognized as a go-to strategic partner for your accounts

  • A demonstrable track record of contributing to won business and organic account growth through upsell and expansion recommendations

  • Your planning narratives and frameworks are reused across the wider team as the standard

  • Shipped reusable AI skills or workflows that are adopted beyond your own accounts and have shortened proposal turnaround times

  • Consistently spotting category and behavioral trends early, and translating them into commercial opportunities for InMarket and our clients

We're Looking for Someone With

  • 3-5+ years in media planning, brand or agency strategy, insights, client success, and/or account management. Media planning experience strongly preferred

  • Comfort with quantitative analysis and a data-driven approach to decision-making

  • Strategic thinking that goes beyond the obvious: you reframe the brief, question the assumption, and find the angle others miss

  • Advanced AI fluency. You can build skills, prompts, and workflows that change how work gets done

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all functions and levels

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including client-facing presentation experience

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with Looker or other data visualization tools
