Job Description

Role Responsibilities

• Lead company’s long- term strategic technology direction and education regarding cloud architectures.

• Evaluate designs and architectures and document results/risks based on required technical parameters.

• Evangelize best practices in Cloud Architecture e.g. HA, Performance, DR

• Keep abreast of a broad range of technologies that may deliver value to Client's business

• Help organize support models for new applications hosted by Client.

• Coaching Customer and Partner teams on Cloud best practices

• Support project teams in taking advantage of PaaS and SaaS offerings while still meeting information security requirements.

Qualifications

• Preferred Years of Infrastructure Experience: 15+

• Education/Certificate: B.S. Required/M.S. Preferred

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Deep and broad knowledge of cloud service provider capabilities and integration with on premise infrastructure/systems.

• Deep knowledge of automation for moving workloads on and off premise, cloud based file and sync capabilities, cloud content security and protection, cloud based archiving, cloud based application workflow and content management


Deep and broad knowledge of enterprise level storage area networks,
data center storage, replication services & supporting technologies
as they relate to cloud services technologies.

• Deep and broad experience/Knowledge of Cloud providers (Private, Hybrid, and Public) specifically including Azure and AWS.

• Deep technical knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V)


In depth knowledge Azure and/or AWS IaaS Services (EC2, ELB, RDS,
Route53, S3, SQL database, BLOB Storage, Active Directory, etc.)

• Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris, Unix, Windows)

• Understanding OpenStack deployments and integration

• Knowledge of cloud technology and distributed computing

• Strong technical knowledge of cloud technologies & IT concepts (VMWare, HyperV, Cisco, Microsoft, EMC, AWS, etc.)

• Previous experience designing and deploying solutions on Azure and/or AWS

• Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell).

• Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef & Puppet.

• Client/Server and Multi-tier Architectures

• Communications and Networking Architectures

• Messaging Architectures

• Experience with replication and data protection architecture and solutions

• Experience with SAN & NAS technologies
